Ensuring that everyone has access to affordable energy in a safe, sustainable and modern way

The demand for electricity is growing; we, as a society, need to be prepared and we need to adapt. Sustainable energy is, in fact, renewable energy. According to Eurostat data, the contribution of renewable energy in Romania increased from 17.1% (2006) to 24.8 (2015); therefore, we have reached the EU 2020 target by 5 years.

Only by encouraging renewable energy and innovation in the field is it possible for our society to maintain technological progress and, at the same time, to protect nature and to mitigate the effects of climate change.

Targets:

7.1 By 2030, ensure universal access to affordable, secure and modern energy services.

​

7.2 By 2030, a significant increase in the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix.

​

7.3 By 2030, double the overall rate of improvement in energy efficiency.
