Goal 1: No Poverty
Eradicating poverty in all its forms and in any context
Poverty is a problem both locally and regionally and globally. Globalization has contributed to the eradication of absolute poverty, but further efforts are needed to reduce relative poverty and ensure a dignified life for all.
To this end, Agenda 2030 targets the peripheral segments of society and encourages the transformation of society in a direction that will ensure a dignified and prosperous life for its citizens. Poverty eradication approaches proposed to achieve this goal include reducing the number of people at high risk of poverty and promoting social inclusion.
Targets:
1.1. By 2030, eradicating extreme poverty for all people, everywhere, is now measured as the number of people living on less than $ 1.25 a day.
1.2. By 2030, reduce by at least half the number of men, women and children living in poverty, in all its dimensions, according to national definitions.
1.3. Implement, by 2030, adequate national social protection systems and the necessary measures, including the implementation of the guaranteed minimum income, for a substantial coverage of the poor and vulnerable.
1.4. By 2030, ensure that all men and women, with a special focus on the poor and vulnerable, have equal rights to economic resources, as well as access to basic services, ownership and control of land and other forms. ownership, inheritance, natural resources, appropriate new technologies and financial services, including microfinance.
1.5. By 2030, creating the resilience of the poor and vulnerable and reducing their exposure and vulnerability to extreme weather events and other economic, social and environmental shocks and disasters.
