Reducing inequalities within and between countries
Inequality is one of the biggest obstacles to the development of a sustainable society. Inequality can occur in a variety of areas, such as gender issues, educational difficulties, financial issues, and so on. This goal emphasizes the ideal, meritocratic character of the society and, at the same time, allows everyone access to resources.
Targets:
10.1. By 2030, achieve and sustain progressively increase incomes for 40 percent of the lower limit of the population, at a rate higher than the national average.
10.2. By 2030, empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all, regardless of age, gender, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status.
10.3. Ensuring equal opportunities and reducing inequality of results, including by eliminating discriminatory laws, policies and practices, and promoting appropriate legislation, policies and actions in this regard.
10.4. Adopt policies, in particular fiscal, wage and social protection policies, with a view to achieving progressive greater equality.
10.5. Improving the regulation and monitoring of global financial markets and institutions and strengthening the implementation of these regulations.
10.6. Ensuring strong representation and voice for developing countries in the decision-making processes of global international economic and financial institutions to provide more efficient, credible, accountable and legitimate institutions.
10.7. Facilitate orderly, safe, regulated and responsible migration and mobility of people, including through the implementation of planned and well-managed migration policies.
