Objective 13: Climate action

Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impact

Climate change is a reality, and urgent action is needed to limit its impact. The 2030 Agenda also proposes deciphering the (anthropogenic) causes of climate change, but perhaps the most important issue remains to anticipate the estimable problems and to propose viable solutions to these situations. The effects of climate change are manifesting in all areas of life, including health, quality of life and accelerated biodiversity loss. Only globally coordinated action can mitigate the consequences and have a significant impact in this regard.

Targets:

13.1. Strengthen resilience and resilience to climate and natural disaster risks in all countries.

13.2 Integrate climate change measures into national policies, strategies and plans.

13.3 Improving education, awareness and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction and early warning.
